Personality:
Ochaco Uraraka is as ordinary as any 15 year old girl in Japan can be as far as her personality, drive and overall motivations are concerned. She has a special ability called a quirk that allows her to manipulate gravity, but that's less important here than understanding who she is as a person. From the very moment we meet her when she stops Izuku from face-planting in front of UA High with her quirk, we learn she is a kind person with a warm personality. Izuku was a complete stranger, but knowing that this was an important day, she stepped in and helped him out despite this. She didn't make light of the situation either, instead choosing to be encouraging and positive even though Izuku didn't really manage to actually say words back to her. This is further proven when she goes to the teachers after the initial entrance exam, asking them to give some of her points to Izuku because he had taken time he could have used to gain points for himself, to rescue her. These actions reveal that she's a very thoughtful person, the type to be concerned about another's well being despite having no advantage to herself to do so.
In the same vein as being kind, thoughtful and overall cheerful, Ochaco is naturally very emotionally intuitive. She was able to pinpoint Bakugou's reasons behind his behavior towards Izuku, as well as sevral other instances where she has simply just understood how someone was feeling through their body language or other unspoken clues. Naturally, she acts on this without hesitation. She also has a sense of humor that can be exaggerated at times, particularly when interacting with her friends' and classmates' different personalities.
Like a lot of teenage girls, she does get flustered over romance, and has in several instances displayed embarrassment when called out for a possible crush or feelings for Izuku Midoriya. In a similar vein, she has also expressed jealousy when it comes to Izuku's interactions with other girls. However, she does her best to set these feelings aside, even by unconventional means like punching herself in the face. Unfortunately she does tend to internalize a lot of her feelings instead of letting her friends help her, choosing to lean heavily on the one that does the helping. She has also reconciled feelings she has as a deep admiration at this point in her canon, though she does come to recognize them as more than that later on. Coming in to Empatheias she has done her best to put her feelings as platonic and may still react in a flustered or embarrassed manner as a result.
Despite overall being a bubbly, kind, and positive person, Ochaco admits that her reasoning to become a hero is not purely out of wanting to save people's lives. She's embarrassed to admit it, but her goals are initially much more down to earth—she wants to support her family. It's implied that she comes from a family that has to work hard for the money they have, to the distinction of perhaps being considered poor. As a result, Ochaco can be seen as stingy at times. Because of this, she wants to be the reason her parents can relax and stop working so hard. While this is not as altruistic on the surface as other UA students, it still displays a great deal of caring and compassion on her part. She wants to take care of the family that has taken care of her, despite their protests that she doesn't need to. This is also shown in a flashback to be something that she has desired to do from a very young age.
Along with her serious goals as a hero, Ochaco also treats her training and path towards those goals very seriously. She trends towards rescue heroism in situations like natural disasters etc, since her quirk lends itself to that sort of work rather than direct combat with villains. However, this does not stop her from trying to develop her weaknesses. During her internship she picked the combat hero Gunhead in order to gain experience with martial arts and combat training. So while obviously wanting to work to the strengths of her quirk and ability she does not shy away from confronting her weaknesses and improving herself. During her fight with Katsuki Bakugou at the Sports Festival she gives it her all, despite knowing she was at a serious disadvantage. Using what she knew about Bakugou and his ability, as well as taking a page from Izuku's book by creating a game plan, she competed in the match-up until her loss was decisive. Even then, she was not willing to give up until actually passes out. She is overall a cooperative person when in battle, teaming up with others more often than not. However she can tend to be over-reliant on her friends, to the point of thinking how they would solve a situation rather than playing to her own strengths. This is a weakness that she continues to show. At times she has realized this flaw—and most recently after her fight with Thirteen—has vowed to try improve herself on her own two feet going forward.
Abilities: here However, if you feel the need to nerf her quirk I will understand. Anything super extra comes with concequences on her ICly, but I am willing to limit her ability to manipulate gravity further should you guys deem it needed.
Alignment: Aiada - Ochaco has displayed some very blatant jealousy in regards to a certain main character, and is generally money conscious as well as somewhat miserly. She appreciates what money can do to help her family, and she is of course very aware of the help she has received and offers others on a daily basis. She has strong desires and wants that she is very ambitiously going after.
